Moratoriums

During an insurance moratorium period, new business applications may be submitted but no new business will be quoted. Renewals, if previously submitted and quoted, may be bound during the insurance moratorium period.

While these insurance moratoriums are infrequent, they demonstrate the importance of helping individuals and businesses understand the value of maintaining adequate insurance to always be prepared and protected in the event of earthquakes, hurricanes, fires or floods.

Active Moratoriums:

No existing moratoriums due to current events or weather conditions.

Flood Moratorium:

As part of Palomar’s catastrophe management program, the company has implemented indefinite moratoriums in certain counties across the U.S. Contact us with questions about Palomar’s indefinite residential flood moratoriums.
